THE BROTHERHOOD

707.

Three numbers that to many may not mean much, but to us, this is home - this is the area code of Vallejo. No matter where you end up in life, if you started back home in Vallejo, you are part of the "brotherhood."

Our City, now with a population of over 120,000 has seen its share of highs and lows. The 1960's saw a booming Naval Shipyard - Mare Island - that brought many jobs and families to the North Bay. The 1970's saw new sub-divisions and neighborhoods stretching into the surrounding areas. In the 1980's, a new landmark for Vallejo arrived with the opening of Marine World Africa USA on the site of the Lake Chabot Golf Course. Vallejo's diversity and "blue-collar" work ethic have always been one of its staples. It's one of the many reasons that you can take a kid from Vallejo and drop them on any street corner in the world and they will be able to make it. Growing up in Vallejo, you figure things out quick and try to make the best out of any situation you are in. Four unique neighborhoods make up North Vallejo. Rancho, College Park, Country Club Crest and Lofas. From each of these areas, all roads lead to one place - our little league field. This is the place where friendships were formed that has now become a bond for life.
